Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 49983A so, I saw this at Sam's Club and decided I should give it a try. I loved my Cuisinart K cup brewer but when a full pot was necessary, I had to break out my Cuisinart pot brewer. So I figured it would give me the option when needed. I love the look, it appears high tech, so that's cool, however here are the flaws in my opinion. When you brew a pot and then for what ever reason have to brew a single cup, i.e. cup of tea, flavored coffee, or hot chocolate, you have to switch it to single cup brewing. When you do this you have to switch it back to the pot brewing option to keep the warming plate warm. Also, the brewer for the k cup is kinda of cumbersome and has a cheap feel to it. You have to take the whole mechanism out to discard it and it drips all over the counter. There is only one water compartment. So, every time you want to make a k cup you have to add the amount of water you need for the k cup. It will brew as much water (up to 14 oz) that is placed in the water reservoir. I guess I'm just spoiled by the quality feel of the Cuisinart products and their ease of use. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep this or take it back........jury is still out.When it has came down to Hamilton Beach, they have had mixed results with their coffeemakers over the years. But last year, when they tried their luck with a single service coffeemaker for the Keurig K-Cup packages, they actually haven't that luck very well. They have decided to try it again with a new coffeemaker that doubles for single serves and a full-drinkers with this new device. This coffeemaker works well and is easy to take care of. What I like about it is that it is simple to operate, and you can use it for single coffee drinkers, or for those who want more than just one cup in the morning. I also like the fact for the single serve, there is a basket that you can use your own ground coffee to make and heat. What I do feel unimpressed about is that it is only programmable on the multi-server side, not the single serve side. Despite that one flaw, this still is a great appliance for your home, and I definitely recommend this from Hamilton Beach a lot.
.. they kept all the wonderful properties from the 2 scoop maker i.e
1. makes a great cup of coffee either on the single side or the whole pot
2. No learners manual to set up and run
3. a carafe that pours without dripping and doesn't need to be turned upside down to get the coffee out
4.easy clean up
.... and best of all Single cup function........ NOW on THE single cup side..
1. you can use the famous K-cups if you so choose
2. OR... just plan ground coffee
3.OR... coffee flat pods..

WHOO HOO>>>>>>>>>.. so the choices are yours. YOU ARE THE MASTER BREWER
DO it your way.......

The Sweet Spot... they hit them ALL.. And they added a few NEW things...:

1. a side view window so you can see the amt of water your adding for either whole pot or the single serve It even has a
measuring marking to show you exactly HOW much water to add if your using the Kcups.. or single drip coffee
2.a BELL DINGS when the coffee is done ( YES>.. love that feature )
3. HOT , Hot coffee... ( thank you)
4.k-cup options works Just like the K---- coffee pots.. the single side brew is much much FASTER then the previous version
5. just one site to add water vs 2 we had on previous version...

Wow am I one happy camper... after setting it up and cleaning I brewed a Kcup Hot cocoa.. ( later after noon) followed the simple directions and DONE..

Nx tried the home ground coffee in the mini drip single container..((with its. improved water dispersal w the revamped drip cover over the grounds))
So the full flavor of the coffee came through
...Smack MY MOUTH.. the aroma and taste are Heavenly !

This device is My Morning Angel.. she makes me exactly what I want.. if it is an eye popping, frul body morning brew. that I set up the night before. but just in time as I run out the door.. viola.. the single side .. does it...
If it is the weekend where lounging around w a whole hot pot of coffee.... while leisurely reading the paper while munching my toast.. It does that too

HOW CAN I BE HAPPIER........ I AM IN COFFEE HEAVEN. I think I am swooning all over again.....

Well if your asking me if you should get this coffee maker.. the answer is YES YES YES

I have version ONE and LOVE IT but this version 2 is even better
